Dear Lover,

I wish she could see this. But she can't. And I guess it's for the best, because she would comment and it would kill me inside. I just want to say that I wish it hadn't ended the way it did. I wish we could have stayed best friends. I wish I wasn't such a bitch and you weren't so conceited. I wish you thought of someone but yourself every once in a while. I wish you would have chosen me, Berk, and Caleb over him. ME over HIM. But you didn't, and that's what ended us.

I lost respect for you when you quit listening to what I said and started following your heart instead of your mind. We told you it was wrong. We told you to let him go. We told you that you would get hurt. I hope you come to me when it's all over, because they I can cry with you for one last time. And then we'll be over officially, and I can really move on. Until then, I'll be connected to you in some way. I'll say sorry, you'll say sorry. But we won't mean it. We never mean it. Ment it. What the fuck ever.

I think of you a lot, all the time these past few days. But maybe that's because the end of what we had has just begun. I'll remember the good times, like when we went to see Prom Night and ran around like idiots--up and down the stairs, around and around, with Berk following behind us as if she knew what she was doing. I'll remember your birthday party, where we all laughed with Caleb about everythind and nothing. Stupid stuff. That's the best kind.

I'll forget everything else, like how you betrayed me. I'll forget those things because they only show a side of you, the real you, that I hate and loathe and wish would have never came out. I could have gone without knowing, and you know that. Or maybe you don't, because you never truely knew me. I knew you like the back of my fucking hand, but you never really knew me. Courtney. You know why? Because you're a conceited bitch who only thinks of herself, and no one else.

But remember, it's the good things that count. Oh, and I forgot to mention that you cannot ask you friends to accept you for who you are but not by what you do. Because your actions speak louder than words. You are what you do. Get that through your fucking head. "It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right--I hope you had the time of your life."
